Pre match thoughts……

We’ve started the season well, they haven’t, both teams will have promotion aspirations, they’ve just signed the best player in the league, (although match fitness must be questionable?). I could go on, basically it could go either way. The beautiful  game is wonderfully unpredictable, which is a huge part of its appeal. Unless of course you’re the EFL and decide to not bother exploring such unpredictability and just wrap the season up?

Absolutely gutted to not be able to go to the game. Still at least we don’t have to put up with the BBC commentary on the live stream today.

3.05pm ….. Gooch gives it away, good to see Lee Burge alert and off his line. 

3.15pm…… nowt happening. Happy enough with that.

3.20pm…… really good 5 minutes of possession, Graham nearly scores.

3.30pm…. great work by O’Brien earns a corner…. great delivery, great header, great save. The delivery from Scowen is much better than we’ve seen so far this season

3.35pm….. just won’t fall for us, another chance. Playing well, just need a goal

3.41pm…..gooooaaalllllll…. shit, we really, really should have scored there?

• Hugely positive performance, obviously not being ahead is the obvious negative 
• Our passing is crisp, Wright is a Championship player all day long
• Grant and Scowen good again. Gooch is struggling, form comes and goes, he’s a man out of form
• Up front….. we’ve made some really good chances and we haven’t scored, but the movement of O’Brien and Graham is the best we’ve seen up front this season from the various combinations? Not a glowing review for a number 9, but….Danny Graham looks better at missing chances than Will or Charlie?

2nd Half…..

Just got to keep doing what we did first half? They can’t be as bad 2nd half?OurWembley Tormentor Williams, is on for them, Maddison will come on about 65 minutes surely?

65 mins….. Charlie and Will on for Danny and Aiden, as mentioned pre match, 1st striker to hit form will be the main man? Been well on top; please, please don’t make this centre stage for Maddison to top bin a freekick for an undeserved 1-0????

73 mins….. straight red, down to 10 men, free kick from 25 yards…. blazed over – Charlton are fucking dreadful!?

78 mins….. first time Denver got behind them, we nearly score, just going to be one of those days?

87 mins….. so, so fucking frustrating. Totally bossed it for 70 minutes, plenty of chances. Sending off a kick in the bollocks as it reigns our attacking threat in, obviously if we were 2 or 3 up that wouldn’t be a problem? A draw not the end of the world, another clean sheet etc….. but we really should have won today?

Better today, but still persisting with the brown suede boots he got last Christmas…..

International Break next week, so no game for ages. Not that it matters as we’re not allowed to go and watch Sunderland or England. Loads better today, attacked with pace, just wasn’t to be…. we’ll be absolutely fine this season, absolutely fine, I promise ….
