SAFCBlog is built on positivity, losing 3 games in a row to crap teams doesn’t lend itself to positivity. When positivity bites hard, I guess the best approach is to be realistic and objective, this can be a challenge when we care as much as we do? Given I mostly mix with journalist types, (beards, weed, push bikes…. that lot!), I’m all over this shite blogging malarkey, for tonight only I’ve split the blog in 3 Super Sections…..
Section #1 – The Journey…..

Whilst I’ve only been writing this shite for 3 years, the catalyst for it was all the stuff that went on for years before. I considered writing a book, but without any disrespect for the types who read books…. films are better and book types are generally, (*), a bit weird.
In 2016…. I took a photo on the way back from Swansea after a Defoe treble, (whatever happened to him), had led us to a 4-2 Monday night win – its always been a pic that crops up on WhatsApp etc….
Decent trip South….
Some right gaffs in Cheltenham, genuinely stunning…. akin to Mayfair, (without the Russians), I had a car to drive, thankfully could rely on photographers X 2?
So we’re here….. lots of understandable stuff on twitter etc saying its a waste of time etc following us, we al make choices, for the laughs and friendship make it very worthwhile…. sometimes the journey eclipses the destination.
Section #2 – The Match…..
First Half…… we weren’t great, but we were the better side. Stunning freekick and very unlucky not to double our lead 2 minutes later.
Half Time….. as aforementioned, we’d not been great….but having failed to win from this position at Shrewsbury and Accrington, (both against 10 men), let’s just get 3 points and move on? That’s what successful teams do? Rotherham have beaten Accrington and Wimbledon 1-0 this week….. I’m sure it might not have been pretty, but they have 6 points for their endeavours? it’s just what successful teams do?
Full time….. lost 2-1
Section #3 – The Other Stuff
As aforementioned, its my choice to travel, as shite as it was last night, I’ll be at Wimbledon on Saturday, i totally understand why people wouldn’t…. for me it works, although I fully respect anyone who lost the will to fucking live watching that 2nd half last night

I went to Sainsbury’s today, I’m ok with not being privy to the discussions they have at Board Level, football is slightly different – it would be sensible to release a statement as to the ownership/share issue of the club?
