SAFC SECOND HALF SHITSHOW V WBA

I’m under strict instructions not to mention anything related to pundit infidelity or a certain footballers length- as you all know this critically acclaimed journalistic masterpiece has a stellar reputation to uphold…

Imagine being asked to write this shite for a fourth time? SAFCblog is off being a lazy fucker somewhere in the canaries so he’s handed the mantle to me again. He gets the opportunity to disappoint you most days, I get a go a few times a season, so this will be particularly bad. Desperate or stupid? Who knows?

Ive contributed to 4 entries now, I’m surely entitled to a cut of what will be the most prolific piece of football literature of all time? Shirley? Sales forecasts look bleak, but apparently some rustic farmhand lothario from Cumbria has pre-ordered 1000 copies, he must have a barn to store them all in? Does your missus know about what goes on in the spare room Gaz?

4/1000= 0.4%. Big numbers. At the fucking very least I get a mention in the blurb!?

I’ve consulted a man with a beard this week to see who’s in charge of photos now, no one really knows? The turnover since the start of the season has been, in summary, disastrous. I entrusted a child last time and it was probably a better standard than any other blog this season. Is there an amateur camera phone photographers union to hold SAFCblog accountable? Can someone consult Kris Day for advice?

The World Cup

I was hoping to be writing something about looking forward to the next game on Wednesday, but we’re English and disappointment on the world stage is all too regular. Our run is finished, normal service resumes, let’s forget about it. Another 2 years to wait before another game of any significance, imagine waiting that long for club football?

One thing I will say though, is that I’ve genuinely enjoyed the footballing side of the World Cup. We all had our reservations about the whole ordeal re: human rights etc,  that all remains and will most likely always taint the legacy of this tournament and rightly so, but the football has been great.

THIS IS MUSIC

Music, football, and clothing intertwines into the perfect holy triangle of British subculture. SAFCblog posts a song at the end of blog, and that’s often the best bit. I also have a ‘modelling’ association with a certain well-known terrace clothing brand that often supports the non-rigged giveaways on this blog. The Liam Gallagher Knebworth documentary was recently released on Paramount + and a whole heap of memories came flooding back from that Saturday night, what a day. Music is everything to me, it might just edge football in its association with a certain well-known terrace clothing brand that often supports the non-rigged giveaways on this blog. The Liam Gallagher Knebworth documentary was recently released on Paramount + and a whole heap of memories came flooding back from that Saturday night, what a day. Music is everything to me, it might just edge football in its level of significance and influence in my life.

📷 Update (as seen above): Clutching at straws again here, whoever invented the camera phone is an idiot

West Brom

They’ve picked up form since they sacked Bruce, 9 points from their last 3, so I anticipate this will be a tough game. Bruce was unfairly treated by the entitled idiots up the road and they turned personal and nasty towards the end, when it wasn’t exactly fully attributable to Bruce. However I don’t think WBA fans think much of him either.

If feels like Bruce’s management career can’t really go in any other direction, he makes a good copper in Athletico Mince’s Geordie Heat skit, but that’s about it. Get on a beach until the end of days Steve, who wants to be at the Hawthorns when it’s -1?

Fuck this lads, it’s happy hour on Veronica’s Strip, I don’t care if Southgate gets the sack, I’m just not interested

League position means nothing in the second tier, any opponent poses a risk at any point. Guest blogger predicts SAFC 1-1 WBA

THE GAME

1st Half

  • Fucking freezing, fingers are cold so I can’t type,  so you aren’t getting much because I’ve got a shit memory (Probably still an excessive read for Steve Ovenden)
  • SAFC far better team, lovely fluid football
  • WBA offering very little
  • O’Nien superb, he’d head a bowling ball if required, his passing has been brilliant, slowly turning into the first name on the team sheet.
  • Penalty taken well by Diallo, a song rings out across the SOL, unsure whether it was cock related or not, I’m sure Twitter will let us know

  • Simms everywhere and seems to be growing in confidence each game

2nd Half

  • Far less lively
  • WBA lacking in the final third but creating more chances going forward
  • A WBA fan with us has Informed me the lad Thomas-Asante (superstar of Salford FC documentary) isn’t the right fit for tonight and they need their proper (American) centre half on.
  • Goal, West Brom,  it’s been coming, Patterson didn’t even make an attempt. Defending dire
  • As per I spoke too soon, Simms has decided to revert back to being pedestrian this half, which isn’t helpful
  • Pattersons distribution has been poor tonight
  • 2nd goal, West Brom, ball looked out on the run up to the goal, but the defending was appalling again, as aforementioned by our WBA friends tonight, West Brom bring on Daryl Dike and he heads in with ease

Shocking, completely fell apart 2nd half, West Brom not great which makes it worse

I thought tonight would be a tough gig, the first half performance makes the result more frustrating. WBA have really hit form and slammed into 5th gear and capitalised on a naïve SAFC. The attitude of sitting back at 1-0 is not safe in this league.

Falling Apart,

At least someone profited?

Guest blogger does not endorse regular betting, but the odd flutter is fun.

This useless fucker can’t work his iPhone browser abroad, how hard can it be? Does anyone know what VPN means?

You win some, you lose some

There’s no need to fear at this point, 11th on 12th December is a good position to be in. After the dismal and abrupt end to the World Cup campaign, I fancy another trip to the capital in May. Smash Hull on Saturday, tough game against Blackburn and then 6 points from Wigan and Blackpool. Piece of piss.

It’s generally been a challenge of late, I always feel abit of pressure writing a blog. Sometimes abit of  support from your mates is what you need to get your over the line…

Any applicants for Saturday?…

See you all in Hull
