We have 4 games left, we won’t go up automatically, we will be in the play offs – Wigan are shite, but they were fighting for their lives and as a result beat us, realistically playing someone who is going nowhere and embedded in mid table mediocrity is much preferable. It’s oft cited how unpredictable Division 3 is this season, let’s not sugarcoat it – it’s shite, really poor, hence a load of unpredictable results, Accrington are the epitome of this random, unpredictable season….
The case for the Defence….
Injuries galore, but let’s be honest, we are a fucking shambles at the back? The last 7 goals conceded have been from a combined distance of 33.7 yards – piss poor at any level? Our defence worries me greatly, not so much over the next 4 games, but the playoffs are always tight, tense affairs, (think of 1 goal over 180 minutes vs Portsmouth), we cannot head into the playoffs still conceding a crap goal every game – it will cost us.
A Question of Sport….
I’ve seen us play Accrington 5 times, 4 of these have been at their outdoor pitch facility and just 1 at our stadium, it would be a great question for Sue Barker some Friday night….

50 minutes…. they score from 7 yards, (almost a long distance screamer on current form!), 1-2
62 minutes….. nowt riding on the game and to be fair it looks that way? There’s absolutely no reason not to head into the playoffs confident…. but we need to stop conceding crap goals, realistically a team conceding in both legs of the playoff semis are unlikely to progress.
67 minutes….. right on cue, comedy defending and an own goal makes it 2-2, absolutely farcical, like Last of the Summer wine meets the Benny Hill Show, but without flat caps and tits….
77 minutes…. in the words of American Munter turned fittie, Belinda Carlise….. we all want the same thing…..my instinct is to positive, but we are not looking like a team who will go up? Any goal conceded is a bad goal, but fucking hell man…. we give goals away every single game, it was mentioned in commentary that it’s careless, I’m assuming they described it as such as they are unable to use the correct terminology of, weak as weak piss?
