Lincoln at Home tomorrow….

“You don’t have to be that good, to be good from 2 yards?”

Effectively half time and 2-0 down, actually it’s not that bad, as we have 90 minutes to level things up rather than 45. It’s absolutely doable, we will have chances, we mullered them last season, I’m desperately hoping to be wrong, but I’m not expecting us to progress. Prior to Wednesday’s game I didn’t have the confidence that we could put in 2 or 3 good performances, I’ve seen absolutely nothing to change my mind. I’m fortunate to be able to attend tomorrow and I’ll be right behind the lads both emotionally and vocally as I always am. I actually think there’s every chance of us scoring twice, I don’t think there’s any chance of us not conceding – since the capitulation at Shrewsbury, we’ve been a shambles defensively, aside from the worldie that Blackpool scored, I think all of the other goals conceded have been from dreadful defending and an alarming amount of hem have been scored from inside the six yard box. This worries me greatly, you concede this type of goal when you lack heart, passion, the willingness to get hurt, the bravery to put your body on the line. I don’t fancy our gaffer at all, he just seems to talk utter shite and not really have any idea tactically. It’s irrelevant, but I didn’t agree with the decision and timing of Parkinson’s dismissal – we are in a worse place now, (opinions etc).

That’s all very negative and I genuinely hate feeling this way, the positive is that we can win tomorrow…. a poor refereeing decision, a piece of magic, a piece of crapness by them ….. all very possible events at this level, and then things can change very quickly. I don’t think we will go through – I don’t think we have the necessary – it doesn’t mean we can’t or won’t and at 3.30pm tomorrow I’ll be embracing the privilege of being there by getting right behind the Lads. If we do go through tomorrow, all of a sudden we would have the momentum we have been craving….. I don’t think we will be going to Wembley, but it’s possible⚽️🔴⚪️⚫️

Much as I enjoy Club Wembley…… I might give it miss for Lincoln vs Blackpool?

Back in the game…..

it’s mint that we are going to the stadium tomorrow, it’s been a very long time, like many others it holds lots of special memories for me, I’m a, (very youthful ), 49, I’ve never gone more than a few months without attending a game for 40 years – it was just something I took for granted. It was starting to look like a season that didn’t really happen, like when tree falls over in an empty forest does it make a noise and all that bollocks, (of course it does). So let’s enjoy tomorrow and for me a clean slate is required thereafter….

A clean slate, (pictured above), is required for so many reasons, we now have the backing and potential to put the years of misery to bed, it doesn’t happen overnight, it certainly doesn’t happen with the employment of the cheapest option, the signing of free transfers, the deconstruction of the Academy, broken promises, lies, selling your best players etc…. thankfully the future is bright for the first time in what feels like ages. It may not be tomorrow, I don’t think it will be… but the good times are coming 100%, when success arrives, it will be all the sweeter given the absolute shitshow of recent times – KEEP THE FAITH – FTM

SAFCSlog….

Tough write, (and read), this season, I starting writing this in March 2019, at that juncture I was pretty confident we’d be bouncing back to the Championship at the first time of asking…. I’m now thinking we are destined for a 4th season in Division 3. What a time to be alive, I’m actually going to the game tomorrow, 57 times this season I’ve watched online with my dogs, 3 of them then 2, RIP Alf 💔. Let’s enjoy tomorrow as best we can, football is a game, a great game, but just a game….
