Milton Keynes Again…

Return of the MacK, Return of the MacK…

We were there the other night, they were crap, we won easy. Whilst this might not have a bearing on the outcome today, you’d have to think we should win? If we are to go on a run and get automatic promotion, this is exactly the type of game we need to win, it doesn’t matter how we win…..
“No bother Aidrianne, you get some shut eye……”

‘Away’ The Lads…

In a normal season a draw away is generally good, but that’s working on the basis of winning at home. We are better away than home, along with Man Utd we are the only unbeaten team in the 4 divisions away from home. SAFCBlog has had a hectic week moving house so no graphs today, although no graph required to predict today, we will win easily… SAFCBlog Predicts – MK Wimbledon’s 0 vs SAFC 3.

Whilst I’m expecting it to be fairly routine today, there are a couple of Big Issues to look at.

The Pitch…

It was absolutely dreadful the other night, it’s been lashing it down all week, it’s the same for both teams etc, but I don’t think it will be one for the purists today?

8.30pm Tuesday night – not good…
3pm today – who knows?

If The Cap Fits, Wear it…”

It didn’t work out for Jack Ross at SAFC, but no one could ever dispute his attire, aside from turning up at Sheffield Utd in the cup in a tracksuit, he consistently impressed with his choice of clothes. Whether it be the effortless mixing of buttons and zips or the use of the 30 degree cool wash soft knit merino cardigan to laugh in the face of the changing of the seasons, he was cool as you like. I was in the minority backing Parkinson when he was sacked, but he wasn’t going to win anything in the fashion stakes, he could have done with 30 minutes with Trinny And Sussanha……

“You Are What You Wear”

Trinny, (left), is generally regarded as the more glamorous of the two, as ever it’s a game of opinions, but if, (and it’s definitely a big if), SAFCBlog had to choose which of the pair to spend the afternoon with, I’d 100% be hanging out with Susannha. As aforementioned it’s all about opinions, but for me it’s Arthouse Film Vegan Cafe Naggers 0 vs Draught Stella Karaoke Fumblers 1, (Babb, K, 48)

The arrival of LJ was met with great excitement, as over the years he’d worn some tremendous clobber at Oldham, Barnsley and Bristol City….. then came the hammer blow…. LJ pitched up for the first few months wearing a Nike coat from the Club Shop! It turns out he was just waiting for his clothes to make their way up to the North East. Things had improved with the Black Coat he got in the sales from Aphrodite, then he finally made his mark on Tuesday night…

Tuesday Night Milton Keynes Geezers Club

So given the game is pretty much a walkover today, attention turns to the main event, what does Lee wear today? It’s still bloody cold you’d have to think the flat cap is nailed on? The question remains though, does he accessorise further with a scarf? Does he go Full Country? Or take it more street?

LJ post match at MK….. Tuesday’s Child is full of Grace

Which way will he take it today?

Hard to imagine he’ll go Full Country? Although not out of the question he’ll mix a scarf in and go Country Urban?
Not long to wait now……..

Todays Team…..

Plenty there – let’s get this done and kick on…..

The waiting is over……

LJ pretty much stuck with Tuesdays winning combo, jeans again and flat cap as predicted, TV coverage keeps showing the bloody players, but it seems no scarf today. Lovely coat, similar to Tuesday but no hood, there’s no reason for him to wear the same coat for any two games moving forwards. I’ll obviously look at the impact of this during the week, but onto the game…..

3pm….. let’s do this…. SAFCBlog predicts, another 3-0 win

3.00pm….. we do this kneeling down thing, I thought we only did that if we were live on SKY?

3.05pm …. O’Brien > McGeady > Wyke > ⚽️ > 1-0.

3.08pm…. Will Grigg has only been there a few days, but he has already shown Cameron Jerome how to miss from 3 yards

3.09pm….. 1-1, decent double save from Burge, terrible defending. If it’s bouncing around in the 6 yard box, just fucking get rid lads.

Moving house……it’s stressful, no one ever moved and said, I’m looking forward to doing that again……SAFCBlog has relocated this week, all manner of wifi and connectivity issues, not helped by my questionable IT Skills – eventually give up and head to the basement to watch Soccer Saturday. In the meantime….

Oh dear….

Half time….. 1-2, that wasn’t in the script

2nd half……. stream working again👍⚽️✅

59 mins…. decent touch and finish from Luke, 2-2, absolutely no reason not to win this game

66 mins….. they handball it, should be a penalty, ref doesn’t concur

72 mins….. given up on my stream of the game due to technical issues, again more akin to real away day, whilst I’m partial to leaving early it’s rarely when the scores are level. It popped up in my Twitter earlier that it’s 5 years today since we drew 2-2 at Liverpool, we left that day at 0-2, the scousers were making a big thing of leaving on 77 minutes as the best seats in the new stand were going to cost £77, (just rob a few more cars?)… anyway we left on 76 mins just to prove a point.

Somewhat surprisingly Soccer Saturday aren’t really covering our game, it must be pretty much full time? Just one game today, but MK are poor, a draw is not great? I’m a huge believer in only worrying about your own results, but the teams above us seem to be consistently being more consistent than us?

I’ve not seen enough of the game to know if we deserved to win….

I’m more of a Grapher than a Statto….. but looks like a fair result?

Full time….. 2-2.

bizarrely …… shite wifi actually recreated the SAFC Away Day Experience more than reliable wifi? Missed bits of the game….. akin to, numerous toilet visits, getting something to eat, heading to concourse on 36 minutes to beat the queue for beer….next time I watch a stream I’m going to water my beer down, piss in the sink and stick some stickers on my toilet wall, might even flick the Vs at my neighbour and tell him his house is fucking shit….

SAFCBlog – Average at Best – FTM
