MK Dons Dadaist Cultural Collage Pizza Cup In Preview…..

Another draw yesterday, we draw a lot of games. It’s always a bit of a sickener to concede so late in the game, but Gillingham deserved at least a draw having hit the woodwork twice and apart from the first 6 minutes generally being the better team. We never got to grips with their physicality, when you play a team with heart you can’t afford to have too many players off their game, we had plenty yesterday. I’m desperate for us to win every game, I’m also desperate for us to stick with a manager, get some stability and get out of this tinpot league, (that we are deservedly in). I always think we’re going to win, I still think we’re going to win the league, it’s just how I think. I thought the same under our previous manager, realistically apart from Lincoln Away, we’ve played mostly shite since the change of manager. I’m happy with playing shite and winning, although over the course of a season if you mostly play shite, automatic promotion is a big ask.

Oi oi saveloy, got myself a pukka new jacket ain’t I bro, Jack Ross only fuckin went n left it didn’t he…. bit gutted with the old Desmond tutu yesterday guvnor, but we go again me old China”

Two more sleeps and we are in Pizza Cup Quarter-Final Northern Section action, for the 1st of two visits we head to the Northern Outpost that is Milton Keynes. I’m always keen for Sunderland to win every game they play, Saturday is obviously the bigger of the two games, but we may as well win on Tuesday night.

One positive of a 6.30pm Tuesday night kick off 168 miles away being behind closed doors, is we don’t have to go. We’ve only played there a couple of times, the League Cup win was fairly routine, but last years visit was just a mint away day. Sometimes pictures are better than words, the pictures below from our last trip to Newport Parnell cover a lot of what I’m missing, hopefully others feel the same…

Football = Just brilliant in so many ways

Not really sure what to expect on Tuesday, they’re doing ok, they are in decent form, but it’s likely to be akin to a Reserve Match so who knows. I’ve no idea if they’ve signed anyone in the Transfer Window, but we have so that makes it fairly exciting as we’ll get to see the new boys. Just as the 5 Sub Rule should favour us given our depth of squad, rotating a large number of our team in tinpot games like this should put us as favourites? Given we make another trip there on Saturday, I’ll keep this brief and look at the League game in more detail later in the week.

What else are going to do at 6.30pm on a Cold February Tuesday night in Lockdown?”

Morrissey often looks like man who has the weight of the world on his shoulders, I’m always keen to avoid tenuous links between 80s music and SAFCBlog, but Steven this week could be ideal for you, as if you do leave you bag, we’re back again in 5 days time, (if you supported Sunderland and we were allowed to go to games – that said, probably better to lay low if did actually kill a nun, especially if there’s anything in said bag that may incriminate you in said butchering of Nun?)
