Oxford United v Sunderland match preview
Another local derby on Saturday, whilst I’m not bothered about readership numbers, it bothers me that SAFCBlog.com may become moribund in anyway? Ultimately, until we get promoted, the match Previews will remain mostly shite. We have played Oxford 4 times in the last 16 months – so repetition is inevitable? With this in mind, I’ll keep match previews short moving forward…..

I’ve not had time to check their league position, but they are League 1 Jobbers all day long? They don’t seem to ever be in danger of relegation, but they don’t seem to be good enough to challenge for promotion? Time nulls pain and dumbs memory, but I remember seeing them beat York in the play off final at Wembley, (10ish years ago?), so they must have dipped down to the Conference?
Karl Robinson…….
I love Phil Parkinson…. football is a results business, but Parkinson is a class act….. calm, calculated, knowledgeable – he’s a class act. Oxford gaffer Karl Robinson seems a bit of a prick? SAFCBlog acknowledges that scousers are generally hard work. Whilst Robinson isn’t in the Steve Evans Bell End League – he seems to do a lot of moaning and have a bit of an edge? This is Division 3, Klopp and Guardiola are light years away – bit old school, but for me the way forward is….. Manager, (calm and balanced), Assistant Manage, (less so….)

Football is fucking mint. There’s no point not believing? 4 years ago I’d head to Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge etc and expect to win…… happily, such lunacy now seems less ill judged? SAFCBlog predicts…….
