SAFC 1 vs Bristol City 1

As alluded to in the Match Preview, cutting edge), Bristol are no mugs, they haven’t lost in 10 games, they have a decent squad and they have a good manager, the wins against Reading and QPR have put us right in the mix, but both of those teams are crap teams, today was always going to be much tougher assignment.

Journey North

Forgot to take any pictures, got delayed / distracted and arrived late, high quality images will resume on Thursday night🔴⚪️❤️⚽️🦅🐶🌊

1st Half

Very wet 🐶

As always we attacked the South Stand 1st half, surely we don’t lose the toss every week?

As expected Bristol offer much more than Reading & QPR, a superb save from Patterson onto the post denies them. Our best chance is when the lad from Leeds scuffs a tap in, strikers need goals and this lad looks like he needs a goal, absolutely nothing wrong with his effort levels, he just needs to find the net as soon as possible.

0-0 probably about fair at half time, if anything they edged it in midfield, the game is crying out for O’Nien and/or Pritchard?

2nd Half

We’re the better team, although they always carry a threat, a sublime goal from Clarke puts us 1-0 up, it looks like that will be enough to win the game and had their keeper not made a great save low to his left from Roberts, it probably would have been? Their build up play is good and had their final ball from wide areas been better they would have scored before they did.

7 points from 9 in a week is a good return, a draw today wasn’t a terrible result, but having got to 93 minutes it’s always going to feel like a real sickener? But, we go again Tuesday, City will 100% take plenty of points from the other play off candidates.

Then 0 vs Now 1

This season has been brilliant, we scored another worldie today, the only downside of success is managing expectation, let’s just enjoy the ride. To see the ball sticking to Roberts boot, rather than bouncing off George Dobsons knee is a joy in itself? We have a feel of a real team, our manager is a class act and whilst things are never perfect, we are in good shape. It’s only a few years since we had to endure the gobshite masterclass from our previous owners, Lee Johnson, Martin Bain etc, we are in fine shape, actions will always speak louder than words, I’ve never felt so positive about the way we are headed🔴⚪️❤️ Feels like we have a proper plan ⚽️🔴⚪️⚽️

We’re in a good, good place⚽️🔴⚪️⚽️

Up next, 2 aways

We should win at Rotherham, I’d take a point at Coventry, then we welcome that scotch dick Alex Neil back, should beat those lower league jobbers
Alex Neil🍆, (3rd from the left)

Cutting edge Rotherham preview tomorrow night💥⚽️
