New Gaffer?

Despite being a journalist, I tend not to read or watch much news, Roy Keane has emerged as the overwhelming favourite….. although very little from the club so far, so it might not be the done deal that everyone seems to crave? Football is a huge part of lots of peoples lives, consequently it is an emotional business and polarises opinions…..

I’m not, its not even borderline for me, I think he would be a poor appointment…..

• He hasn’t managed for 11 years and his managerial record isn’t great
• He couldn’t wait to ditch us last time?
• It was widely cited it frustrated him working with players not as good as him? He’s going to love League 1….
• Football is an emotional game and is rightly from the heart as much as the head, but sentimental decisions rarely bring rewards?
• Much was made of the credentials of Frank Lampard to bag his 2nd premier league job being based on his name rather than his achievements? i see similarities here….. as aforementioned Roy Keane is class, I love him….. but what would the reaction be if we were touting Graeme Souness, however much people like Roy we are essentially on the verge of appointing a TV Pundit as our manager? id rather have Keane than Souness…. but then I’d rather have Bradley Walsh than Ben Shepherd? More so, I’d rather we were appointing a proven, current manager?
