We seem to play every few days! Next Tuesday sees yet another cup game when the Red and White Wizards travel to Scunthorpe for the Northern Group A – Leasing.com Trophy Clash, (tickets still available). SAFCBlog will be there to cheer the lads to victory.
In the 2 games last season, Scunthorpe looked woeful at the SOL, but much better in the return at their place. They were relegated, whilst I don’t know a great deal about Division 4, they would have been strongly fancied to do well this season – they’ve had a crap start, winning just 3 of their 17 league games and currently sit 21st.
They are managed by Paul Hurst, he did decent at Shrewsbury and rubbish at Ipswich – we definitely dodged a bullet not appointing him last year?
On the basis that we were much better than them and that they need this game even less than we do, SAFCBlog predicts a comfortable away victory for the lads – a 4-1 win is my prediction, as we continue our march to Wembley, (please God no), to defend, (our share), of the trophy.
There’s not a right lot to do in Scunthorpe- but some real notable names hail from the town.
