Last Night….
We won easily at Donny, whilst you can only beat what’s in front of you, Sheff Weds at home is a much tougher assignment. Momentum is huge, we would go top with a win, a win would be a real statement and a convincing win would really lay a marker down. Football is rightly a game of opinions, when you write this type of shite most days it’s inevitable that opinions will be expressed…. I’ve been critical of Johnson, I felt his time was up – but…. The goal is promotion and if he can deliver that’s fantastic. Anyway, BIG game tonight…..
Journey North….
Given the traffic chaos just south of our departure point, it was an eerily quiet drive North.
Christmas Fixtures….
Without Covid it’s a tough schedule, like most teams we’ve lost a scheduled game, the bit between Xmas and New Year is weird, I’ve no idea what day it is, I’ve also got not a lot to do, so we were at the ground ridiculously early, so much so that we beat the Sniffer Dogs to it….
The Match….
First Half….
- We start really flat and to be fair they boss the first 15
- Sublime pass from the German to The Loch Ness Drogba, who confidently slots home… 1-0⚽️
- Pritchard pounces on an error, decent run and the weight of the pass for Stewart was perfect, 2-0⚽️⚽️
2nd Half….
- Being 3-0 up half time is great, it normally leads to a full time score of 4-1 or the like?
- Not tonight, we created loads 2nd half, it was an absolute joy to watch
- Great performance and for me the bes atmosphere at the SOL since the Play Off game vs Portsmouth
- Hugely positive – onwards and upwards….. I’m genuinely giddy about going to the lunchtime kick off at High Wycombe
Lee Johnson….
Lots of football to go, but when I left Rotherham after 64 minutes and Sheff Weds after 56 minutes, we were on our arses – I didn’t see a way forward, I desperately wanted to – I just couldn’t see us improving. We go into 2022 top of the league, huge credit to all concerned – onwards and upwards….
Genuinely buzzing all day today after last nights game, football is mint.
