The Blame Game, The Day after….

Absolute shocker yesterday, we were absolutely woeful, as I alluded to yesterday there were so many fundamentals so, so wrong….

  • Lose 6 nil last week > send the same team out this week
  • Woeful first half > change nowt at half time
  • Not in the business of hanging out individuals > but some of yesterday’s performances were an embarrassment

Some of our younger lads look like they need a break physically and physiologically, we all know Flanaghan has an error in him, but he’s had a reasonable season, for him to be allowed to leave without a replacement is appalling. I heard it mentioned that the lad from Fulham failing his medical was a curve ball? Only had to read SAFCBlog lads,Ii told you early in the evening before Flanagan had gone…..

So we let Flanaghan go > then this lad fails his medical

Up Next…..

Another shit ground absolutely fucking miles away…… what else is there to do on a Tuesday night?…. see you there ⚽️🔴⚪️⚽️

SAFCBlog Predicts……. I’ve genuinely got no idea, lets say CTFC 3 vs SAFC 5⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Having put yesterdays performance to bed, there remains one huge talking point from yesterday…..

The Stadium of Light Crisp Bag Vortex…..

  • It was windy yesterday, but it’s often windy in Sunderland
  • The crowd was up 8’000 on normal, but even if lets say 1 in 50 people have crisps and 1 in 10, (20%), of those decide to litter the empty packet, (8000/50=160/100×20= 32).
  • So an extra 8000 on the gate only equates to an 32 extra discarded crisp packets….. there were hundreds in the vortex yesterday
  • It can’t just be attendance related? it must be something to do with the seats that get occupied when we have a big crowd?
  • The following diagrams are fairly self explanatory, but delighted if anyone has any questions or input?
  • Figure 1 shows the Stadium Access Points and the Prevailing Wind
  • Figure 2 crucially shows the areas of South Stand Searing that tend to be empty when we have the usual 30’000
  • Figure 3 shows the Crisp Vortex Location
  • “Why’s it always just in front of the dugouts, rather than the centre spot given the access points are on symmetrical corners?
  • That’s a great question Kris….
  • The wind velocity is stronger from the SE corner than the SW due to the location of he North Sea, hence this becomes the dominant wind and pushes the Vortex Westwards
  • In terms of unoccupied seats in a 30’000 crowd, the SW corner is always fairly well occupied, a crowd of 40’000 will up the Crisp Bag Coefficient In the SE corner more than it will the SW corner, (by up to as much as 11%)

Can we please just win on Tuesday?

Shit show last few weeks – need a positive performance and result
