Playing Fleetwood in Tier 3….
When we got relegated, the idea of going to small clubs like Fleetwood, Accrington, Portsmouth, Burton etc sounded like a laugh, it would however just be for the one season? Right?? We’ve about to play Fleetwood for the 9th time in our history, and the 9th time in 4 seasons.
Fleetwood Town….
If we are below where we should be, Fleetwood are doing fantastically well, since winning the NW Counties FL 1st Division in 2005, and passing through a further 5 divisions, they are plying their trade in this division for an 8th consecutive season, a genuinely amazing story/achievement.
Whilst the remit of SAFCBlog is to preview all games, it’s a potentially tough read when its the 9th preview in less than 4 years, so I’ll keep it short……
- Syd Little is from Fleetwood
- Their form is shite, they’ve not won in 9 games. We really need 2 positive results this week.
- They used to be managed by Joey Barton, now that they are not, we’ve not really got any cause to dislike them….
- They are now managed by Steven Crainey, (no, I’ve never heard of him either), who played for Scotland
- That bloke who reckons he photographed the Loch Ness Monster is from Fleetwood?
