3 years ago today we followed up our midweek win at Accrington with a win at Rochdale…. leaving Spotland that day, I was absolutely convinced we’d get automatic promotion – whilst it wasn’t ideal spending a season in the 3rd tier….. at least it was just going to be one year, Job Done⚽️✅.
On Saturday we continue out quest to sneak into the play offs and avoid a 5th consecutive season in the 3rd tier.

4 seasons in this division has taken its toll on us all, not least on the creative content of this Award Winning, (**), blog? There’s only so long you can blog a dead cause? So I’ll hold off on the Radiohead, University, Stephen Fry gags, and focus on the game.
Most football stadiums have 4 stands, (1 at each end and 1 at either side…. 1+1+1+1=4⚽️). When Huddersfield built their ground they originally had 3 stands, a few years later they added a 4th stand. Oxford moved into this 75% of a ground in 1997, (that’s 25 years ago!). I’ve not, (to date), designed, financed and built a football stadium, but surely there’s a case for having 4 sides?

They were doing well, they’ve just lost 2 in a row, their gaffer is a bit of a knob….. we will win the game 100%. For the first time in ages it’s in our hands, SAFCBlog is always loathe to go analogy heavy….. pole position, box seat, in control, ultimately we are in the Mercy Seat, where, (top 2 aside), would you rather be????
