”A Shins a Win”….. Job done yesterday

It wasn’t particularly pretty yesterday, but we deserved to win, we had enough opportunities to win by more, we kept another clean sheet, it’s 3 more points, things are moving along nicely. We’ve got ten games left, two of these games are next weekend, whilst nothing will be decided, Oxford on Friday and Peterborough on Monday are massive. Our end goal is obviously to win promotion, ultimately whilst 1st would be good, 2nd is actually just as good. Whilst we haven’t lost for ages, you’d have to think we will lose at some stage, we definitely won’t be the only ones. After the Easter weekend the double header vs Blackpool looks key, it doesn’t matter if we lose one of these as long as we win the other, (better than 2 draws).

Blackpool Matters ✊” – 2 massive games

As aforementioned nothing will be decided next weekend, but if we were to get 6 points you’d have to think we are very much Champions Elect….. but one game at a time etc. Whilst it’s only division 3, we have been in the mix for promotion one way or another for the last 3 years, we have every reason to be more confident this time than ever before, whilst it’s irrelevant I’d reckon the other teams would see us as the team that looks most likely?

It’s in our hands now…….
We’ve gone from being unfancied in January……
…… to being the favourites in March

“The P word…”

No not Promotion, the other one, if we were to finish in positions 3-6 we will have to consider this, until such a time let’s not even think about it. It’s a positive place to be if you arrive there with momentum, it’s a horrible place to be if you arrive there deflated. As a straw poll of 1 season, last year Fulham beat favourites Brentford, a rubbish Wycombe team beat Oxford, Northampton beat an Exeter team they finished 10 points behind. The best idea is to not even consider being in the play offs.
