All Roads Lead To Knowhere
Another day at home, whilst the focus is mostly on coffee and Monster Munch, writing about SAFC is, (just about), keeping me sane. We have today appointed a new CEO, (previously of Scunthorpe United no less), I don’t know anything about him – but I guess I’ll find something out and write something soon….
25.04.20….. SAFC, (not) Vs ASFC, (not).
16 months ago we’d not played Accrington for well over a century, this Saturday would have been the 6th meeting since December 2018….
That was then, this is now….
We are in Division 3 because we deserve to be, the same obviously goes for Accrington – without being patronising, they are doing fantastically well to be playing at this level. SAFCBlog predicts we were due to beat them 5-0 on Saturday. They aren’t very good, but they weren’t very good last year either, when they made their 1st visit to the SOL. They hadn’t scored in 6 games, anyway they were soon 2-0 up….. as with most games it ended in a score draw.
Accrington away is where it’s at though, proper old school ground, good pubs, good grub….
