Huge win for Sunderland at Oxford

We are on a right roll, obviously this is brilliant – I wrote last week about the difference between expectation and hope. I was delighted to win yesterday, setting off to Oxford – I’d probably have taken a point – a win was a huge bonus! It also means if we draw one of our home games next week, it’s not the end of the world….. there’s going to be ups and downs, the importance of keeping a cool head should never be underestimated?

Coventry are obviously a decent team, credit to them for this season – effectively playing every game away is not ideal? That said it’s only 22 miles from Coventry to Birmingham – surely their crowds shouldn’t be as shit as they are?

Sunderland V Coventry is a Huge Game

Prior to playing Coventry 2 weeks today, we have Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood at home…. the 6 games after are, Gillingham(H), Bristol(A), Blackpool(A), Southend(A), Shrews(H), Wimbledon(A). SAFCBlog is generally positive, but I also try to be realistic and fair….. a win yesterday was huge, a good 2 home games next week would make a draw at Coventry a fantastic result! I’d always alluded that getting up there was a bigger challenge than staying up there…. we have a fantastic opportunity to be sitting pretty 2 weeks from now?

A noon kick off on a Sunday is piss poor…. no trains getting there on time. My last trip to St Andrews was horrible – we dipped out at 0-3 after 65 minutes of hapless football from a team of lazy bastards. The main positive of the evening was having a car to drive home in……. paying £5 to park in a school in Small Heath…. “assume it’s safe pal?”….. “as safe as it can be round here pal”

Given it’s noon on Sunday and it’s on SKY, SAFCBlog will be giving the game a miss……will we bollocks….early start and all roads lead to Birmingham! See you there – going to take SAFCBlog flags X 3 for a bit of TV exposure.

Sunday not ideal, but we’ll be there. I’m not a huge fan of Monday mornings….. let’s hope it’s not a Blue Monday?
