A break from Division 3 action tonight as we go west to Blackpool, whilst it’s a game that doesn’t really matter, momentum is everything and it’s a chance to give some game time to some of the new boys. Also, what else is there to do on a Tuesday night?
Go West…..
Having headed East to pick up The Bearded Idiot, we decided it was not a good idea to go back the way I’d come, we really should have, but it was a nice evening for a drive….
It takes more than a slight detour to derail the SAFCBlog Meal Plans,
7.45pm Game on….
- We start slowly, 0-1 early on
- After 15 minutes or so we settle down, sublime pass from Dan Neil sets up O’Brien, 1-1
- O’Brien has a 1 on 1 but scuffs his shot
- Start the 2nd half well, 2-1 courtesy of a deflected O’Brien shot
- Patterson makes a wonderful save
- 2-2 late on, I wasn’t watching as I was retrieving my flag
- Stoppage time, O’Brien smashes home to secure the win and the match ball, 3-2, job done ✅
It was a really enjoyable game, we look much better than we have for a while, we obviously had a much changed team, (I’m assuming they did too?)
Homeward Bound…
Back in the car at 9.52pm, back in Harrogate at 11.15pm, much easier if you don’t go via Keighley?
5/10 At Best?
Shite review I know, but it’s always a tough balance getting the review online the same night and it being worth reading! I’ll be back tomorrow with some more in depth analysis and a Wycombe preview.
