Just as I was thinking I’d struggle for any cutting edge content this week, I remembered that every 5 games I analyse the season so far, (5,10,15,20 etc), we’ve played 16 games now, I can’t believe anyone didn’t email me to remind me / ask where the article was.
Most would agree, this league is mad, we need a striker, we’re doing ok in line with expectations? Ultimately we need more goals to win more games, 5 points from 15 in this tranche of games….
#11…. 0-0 vs Preston, I don’t go, played ok by all accounts, blog not as good as usual.
#12…… 0-0 vs Blackpool, fair result, we were better 1st half, they were better 2nd half
#13….. 1-2 vs Swansea, long day, shite 1st half, excellent 2nd half, deserved a draw.
#14…… 2-1 vs Wigan, yet another game of two halves.
#15 ….. 0-2 vs Blackburn, some games you just don’t win, the 2 goals were both from refereeing mistakes, we were the better team 2nd half
Next 5…..
We’ve already played game 16, we’ve 4 more games before the World Cup, we could probably do with 6 points?
No midweek game….
It’s Monday, we don’t play til the weekend, I absolutely love football, people who don’t love football tend to be fucking cranks – it’s only a week or so, but it seems like a fucking age. Mental really as we went ages with no football at all, so a week shouldn’t really matter, but it feels like torture, mad to be missing football this much?
