Wimbledon at Home – Another Win

I’m feeling pretty optimistic about this season, historically we’ve just signed whoever is cheap, our recruitment this time looks hugely promising, 7 players in so far and 10 days remain in the Transfer Window.

Realistically we are a few years away from competitive European football, assuming we go up this season, go up next season, finish top 4 the season after, it’ll be September 2024 til we are playing in the Champions League. That seems like a long time, but it’ll be here In no time at all? Given SAFCBlog is a serious Digital Media Outlet, I’ve taken one for the team and today I will be travelling internationally to watch SAFC in preparation for our imminent domination of European Club Football ….
10.30am…. And we’re off
Similar to MK Dons, just head south in a straight line
“Plenty of Chilli Sauce and Yoghurt please Abdul, no tomatoes or cucumber please though…. Oh and can I have Oak Leaf Lettuce with my dirty doner meat please?”
Beautiful day on the North East Riviera….
Excitement at fever pitch as the Wimbledon bus arrives…..

Todays Game….

I was confident we’d hammer Wimbledon today, assuming we do win we then have Wycombe at home and Sheff Weds away, (depending on International call ups), nothing is won or lost pre Christmas, but you’d have to think we will have a good idea after 6 games as to how the season is going to pan out?

Burge injured in the warm up, good chance for Patterson to shine, strange choice to see Dan Neil at full back?

3pm….

We won 1-0 with an own goal, (in old money), we deserved to win though. As at Port Vale, Patterson looked confident, Neil and Winchester were very good, Flanaghan was, (again), very, very good. Doyle….. is he really 17 years of age? He is unbelievably good, it’s great that we have him, moving forward he will ply his trade with Man City and England? Fucking 17 years of age? Mental!!!

Full Time….

1-0, job done. To be fair Wimbledon we’re good on the ball, they normally end up in the bottom 3rd of the division, I’d expect them to be top 10 this campaign.

JOB DONE…… trip to Blackpool on Tuesday night for a nothing game, then a big game next Saturday vs Wycombe, see you there
