6 games to go………

Sunderland’s last 6 games

After playing over 2 hours in a cup final 11 days ago – we’ve since played another 3 games, (including one on wet mud at Accrington) – no wonder the players looked a little jaded last night?

6 to go and we are in an automatic slot – a draw last night was not the end of the world, (Burton no mugs – as I’m sure they’ll show when they play Luton and Pompey this month?).

Sunderland AFC at the Stadium of Light

wanted to win – didn’t lose

I hope and expect we’ll get over the line. If, as and when we do – it should be celebrated, as it would be a fantastic achievement.

There’s been a bit of culture this year, (especially at the SOL), of “we should be beating teams like this”, “we’ve got the best squad” etc

  • We came rock bottom of the Championship
  • We have had a complete overhaul from top to bottom – on and off the pitch
  • Hastily assembled squad
  • We’ve been an absolute shitstorm of a club for 4 years or so
  • We are everyone’s cup final
  • Yes – we are “too big” to be in this league – but so were Forest, Sheff Weds, Leeds, Sheff Utd, Wolves etc and they all took longer than a season to escape

  • If we go up; let’s celebrate a job well done
  • The remaining 3 home games will see sell out away ends – we need to get right behind the lads
  • Anyone lucky enough to be at Bradford, Wycombe, Rochdale, Doncaster, Blackpool, Accrington will know by the reaction of the players at the end, that they really do give a shit. The connection with the fans is back.
Sunderland win at Rochdale

Didier N’dong and Adnan Januzaj these players are not!

Luke O'Nien Sunderland AFC

Everyone loves Luke

Sunderland’s last 6 games…a huge 6 games now. No doubt they’ll be a few emotions along the way.

But….. In Jack We Trust 100%
