The Match….

We looked good for 20 minutes…..then less good for 20 minutes…..we take the lead on 40 minutes….. go 2-0 up after about 55 minutes….. concede a stupid goal…… miss a penalty….. win 2-1….. job done✅⚽️

The Positives From Today…..

• It’s great to have the Matchday experience back
• We’ve been crying out for some early season momentum since we decided to play in League 1, let’s hit the top and stay there
• The new players all look like they will improve us
• LJ making an effort with his Matchday attire….

Negatives From Today….

Ultimately we got the job done, so it’s a positive day, the missed penalty was obviously an opportunity to close the game out, but these things happen. MK Dons aren’t great, 1-0 at half time, probably should have been game over….. going 2-0 up, should really have been game over…. For the 3rd game in a row we looked nervy closing out a 2-1 win. As I say ultimately there’s not really any strong negatives, but…. We do need to learn to be a bit more ruthless?

SAFCBlog Man of the Match….

For the 2nd week running Ross Stewart scored a goal and won a penalty. He was a handful all day, his movement is great and he continually gets into good positions.

Job Done….

Long old day, so just a brief review and I want to watch Leeds get humped 5-1 on MOTD, sure I’ve forgotten plenty – but I’ll revisit tomorrow. All Roads Lead To Burton…..
