What went wrong?
I thought we’d win last night, I even thought we’d win comfortably. Whilst SAFCBlog is based on optimism, we should be beating teams like Rovers? NOT because we are a big club etc, BUT because, man for man we are better and we needed the points more.
As per usual the referee was clueless, (that’s the norm and not an excuse), to be fair, aside from not controlling the players particularly well, the referee can’t be held culpable for the result in any way. It’s worth noting that the playing surface was decent, (not normally the case down there).
Not a great deal of positives, (if any), from last night? The only thing I would say is it’s categorically the worst we’ve played this calendar year. Who knows what will happen on Saturday against Blackpool, (who for the record are a poor side) – I’d be hugely disappointed, (and surprised), if we don’t see a positive reaction.
There’s really no point making excuses. We were dreadful, the players will know that, the management will know that. Parkinson spoke well as always post match, he looked absolutely fucking livid? Imagine sitting next to Steve Parkin on the way home?

Terrible result, terrible manner of defeat. Not much more to add. 3 sleeps til Blackpool, it’s by no means over, I still believe we will go up. BUT……. momentum is not ours, failing to win at Blackpool would make things very difficult, (especially as it’ll be our last game for 3 weeks!).
Sometimes a team just plays shit……think Peterborough away, Lincoln away and add last night to it.
