Lincoln City Away Match Preview
Once we’ve smashed MK Dons on Saturday, we head to Lincoln City; suspect it’ll be a new ground for many? SAFCBlog has been there plenty over the years to watch York play. Bizarrely for such a pleasant place, their fans always seemed to cause bother? … that said, it’s years since I’ve been, so hopefully it’ll be a nice gentile day out next Saturday watching the Red and White Wizards of Wonderland, romp to 3 points?

For some reason there’s pretty much nowt in the way of famous people from Lincoln? Ex Burnley keeper and Al-Shabab FC goalkeeping coach, Marlon Beresford is from Lincoln …..
The town is steeped in history…
Lincoln City are nicknamed The Imps, this originated from a gargoyle that is part of Lincoln Cathedral…..
FOOTBALLING MATTERS….
Lincoln started the season brilliantly with 3 wins from the first 4 games…. since then they’ve been shite, culminating in a 6-0 home defeat to Oxford last Saturday! Back to back promotions, (I think?), were largely due to the managerial duo and recently departed, Cowley Brothers….
Lincoln have had two spells in non league, they were the 1st team relegated when relegation from the league was introduced, (when going down was good fun…. load of new grounds and win every week?). Seem to remember alluding to this notion a couple of times as we fell down the leagues?
SAFCBlog is all about the beautiful game, the last subject I’ll address on this blog is politics, even more so as it becomes more of a pantomime as each week passes? Although it would be remiss to not mention that Baroness Lady Margaret Thatcher hails from Lincolnshire……
Lincoln is home to the magnificent Red Arrows….
Can’t be bothered to check…. but I’m pretty sure that Lincoln are the only other team in the division that play in red and white stripes? A change of kit to blue it is then…..

After a very bright start Lincoln City have somewhat been found out since the Cowley Brothers jumped ship to Manage Huddesfield Town in the championship.
Sunderland tend to play better away from home and it goes without saying they will have another full allocation of supporters cheering on the lad`s to a hard fought 2-1 win with Power & Grigg getting the goals after we come from a goal behind.
I can`t see Sunderland getting beat such is the quality within the squad but it all depends which Sunderland team turn up for the game.
My heart says a 2-1 win but my head is telling me another soul destroying 1-1 draw. KTF & FTM
